Hydrogen sensor technology
Our modular optical H2 sensors MOHS are based on the change in the optical properties of a coating consisting of an alloy of transition metals. MEMS-based sensors H2MEMS (see below) rely on the H2-dependent volume expansion of this coating. The sensors cover a wide concentration range from 0.1 to 100 vol.% H2. They are independent of the oxygen content of the gas and are suitable for indoor air monitoring, process monitoring and process control in industrial applications.
The hydrogen sensors we have developed are characterised by the following features:
- explosion-proof measuring method
- insensitive to electromagnetic fields
- few cross-sensitivities (no cross-sensitivity to methane)
- long service life
- simple installation and intuitive operation
- suitable for multi-component gas mixtures
An overview of our offering and further information on our sensors can be found in the “Sensor Guide (opens in a new tab)”.
