Research and development

To further develop our expertise and to expand our product portfolio, we are currently conducting research projects funded by the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). These projects are aimed at the following product developments:

  • optically switching thin-film sensors for the detection of H2 at low concentrations below 500 ppm
  • Cu-filled DLC coatings as antibacterial and anti-adhesive coatings for implants
  • a novel hydrogen sensor with the highest sensitivity and selectivity based on micro-electromechanical (MEMS-based) structures

In cooperation with the Institute for Surface and Thin Film Technology (IfOD) at Hochschule Wismar, we are able to develop further coatings and coating systems according to customer requirements.
